I foundled throughout the '60s, in a strait-laced (_American_ Baptist – not Southern Baptist) but liberal-ish family, and somehow I always had the impression that the man was supposed to be the older spouse, that the other way was improper. Probably one of those patriarchy things. ---

I’d be happy to watch Fox and Friends get worked up into a tizzy because Starbucks has Christmas themed cups and they’re worried that could make people of other religions feel under represented. Maybe if the left pretended to embrace some of the right’s ideologies, the right would be forced to do a 180 in order to remain true to their brand of wavering integrity and being against ‘them’.
