I think we can avoid the need for testing with a little consideration of theory, as follows. 1. Diameter size of odoriferous molecules that transmit smells, including fart smells, to our olfactory receptors: about a few nm (nanometers) or less 2. Diameter size of SARS-CoV-2 virus particle: about 100 nm 3. Diameter size of aerosol or droplet nucleus in respiratory emission: less than 5 microns = 5000 nm 4. Diameter size of droplet in respiratory emission: more than 5 microns = 5000 nm 5. Mesh aperture size of N95 filter: about 0.3 microns = 300 nm 6. Yarn diameter (somewhat larger than aperture size) in cotton jersey knit underwear: on the order of 1 mm = 1000000 nm Spelling it out in words of (nearly) one syllable, for the benefit of MTG-level intelligences: The. Holes. In. Undies. Cloth. Are. About. A. Million. Times. Bigger. Than. Stink. Bits. The. Holes. In. Mask. Cloth. Are. About. Ten. Times. SMALLER. Than. Breath. Bits. That, more or less, is why even good-quality “thick” cotton underwear can’t prevent fart odor molecules from getting through, while mask fabrics do quite a good job of preventing respiratory aerosols and droplets, which carry virus particles, from getting through. Of course, mask seals aren’t perfect so mask protection isn’t 100%. But they do a hell of a lot better job at filtering droplets than clothing fabrics do at filtering smell molecules. Fart odor molecules getting through your clothing is like a person running through a “forest” of trees spaced a couple hundred miles apart. They just breeze on through with almost zero impediment. ---

I hope if she ever needs surgery she demands that nobody in the Operating Room be allowed to wear a mask. And I hope she finds a doctor plus staff willing to comply. And I hope the doctor and staff all enjoy beans the night before the procedure. I’m sure she’ll be fine. ---

That meme is pretty scientifical for Mikey to get. Besides, it’s Donnie who’s into pee. Someone needs to come up with an explanation involving flies. Something along the lines of, _“If a fly shits on your hair, you’ve got fly shit on your hair. But if you’re wearing a hat, you won’t get as much on you.
