A few years ago, a poster, I forget who, started a contest of sorts on these boards for a great term for what is essentially “Fundamentalist Pornograhy”, or the kinds of stuff described in the last hundred-ish posts. I remember coining the term _fornography_. Have you ever watched some of those so-called preachers when they’re reading from the gory parts of the Old Testament? They’re flapping around in an orgiastic frenzy. That’s why they’re into it. It’s religious addiction. ---

Wisconsin Republicans paid $676,000 to a former judge to provide them with evidence to overturn the 2020 election in Wisconsin. He just spent three hours testifying before the state legislature that they have the power to overturn the election. He admits that he voted for Individual 1, and he did say after the election that it had been stolen, but despite all of the money and the seven months he’s spent on the investigation, and despite his conclusion that the legislature has the power to decertify the election, he admits that he has no evidence of any wrongdoing. Now I wonder: If this judge gives specific orders, and Biden defies the judge, giving different orders (presumably ordering the Navy brass to continue assigning these Seals as they see fit, as they would have been doing anyway) – whose orders will they follow? Whose orders _should_ they follow? The article doesn’t raise these questions. ---
