McCarthy lost again on the 4th ballot, and the vote remained at 20 Republicans against, with another voting present. He’s bleeding votes. ---

I haven’t followed this story, and I’m not really current on the players, but I know McCarthy is slime. From the standpoint of wanting relatively sane, non-traitorous House leadership, what’s the least worst outcome we Dopers can hope for? ---

Makes too much sense (as in HOWLING LAUGHTER). Jefferies could strike a backroom deal for committee chairmanships with a half dozen Repubs. That’s all he’d need. I still back Liz though. ---
