I keep seeing Republicans mentioning the idea that if they can stem the tide of illegal immigrants this will somehow solve America’s drug crisis. So: Poor migrants with nothing more than the clothes on their backs are moonlighting in narcotics. Drugs only come from one place, presumably the buttholes of said migrants. Once the border is secured, there will be no more drugs. Americans will be cured of addiction once they are deprived of choice. It’s that easy! Wow, I’m amazed no one has ever thought of depriving junkies of drugs before! What an amazing innovation! I can’t wait to see how it turns out! ---

He believed (and still does) that Hillary would have been terrible, and that other Republicans would keep Trump in line if he won\*. He admits he was completely wrong about that last part. (\*He also thought Trump was sure to lose, and since we live in Illinois he knew his vote wouldn’t help Trump win anyway.) ---
