In case anyone missed the breaking news. We had _another_ insurrection. In other news, the GOP, as is their SOP, is attempting to make the word insurrection so vague and apply it to so many things that it becomes meaningless. They did it with CRT and BLM and Woke and it seems that they’re now trying to make sure when someone talks about 1/6, people just picture a few people getting a little rowdy in the capital building. I wish I could find the quote I read where a Republican politician (or reporter or advisor?) said that out loud. I read it about a year or so ago, but I think it was a considerably older quote. But they came right out and said they take these words and deliberately expand their definition to include pretty much everything and then use them to scare people. ---
