For weeks this has been all the talk of those of us following the rumor mill of the Texas Legislature (we’re a small but friendly lot). Rep. Bryan Staton took a 19-year-old intern back to his apartment, got her drunk and had unprotected sex with her (apparently the first time she had sex). He then tried to intimidate her and her friends who knew about the encounter into silence. Slaton is maybe _the_ most conservative member of the Texas House, which is saying a lot. > **[Texas House committee recommends expelling Rep.
