I don’t know where to put this. They’ve been mentioned on the board before. [March 2017: Russian ties to the Keystone XL pipeline](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/the-trump-administration-a-clusterfuck-in-the-making/774070/1862). Of corse Trump reversed his mandate ‘that the pipeline had to use American made steel “or we’re not building one.”’ [And a post from January 2019](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/trumps-shutdown/827577/404). Nothing really relevant. It’s just that the CNN article (first link) is current, and I remembered Trump’s Russia connection. ---

Historically you can reliably find out what republicans are up to by just looking at what they are accusing others of. I think it is a lack of imagination, empathy, good sense or something. ---

I’m no big-city lawyer so I don’t know if it’s illegal, but it certainly strikes me as unethical, especially coming from the party that claims Democrats are engaged in all kinds of voting shenanigans to explain their inability to win. ---
