Not necessarily. Self-_appointed_ vigilantes would be a redundancy. Self-_styled_ vigilantes is people who _call_ themselves vigilantes, when what they actually are is a mob of terrorists. ---

I learned the very cringey legend of the Native American princess Sohcahtoa circa 1995. Sadly this is the only mnemonic I remember from middle school. ---

The fact that they appear to have been looking for specific terms in textbooks regardless of context reminds me of the story of some right wing evangelical website years ago that automatically corrected the word “gay” to “homosexual”. So of course a news article about sprinter Tyson Gay turned out just like you would expect. ---
