You should see the guy they want to take the health department head’s place. (awkward I know I don’t recall her name or title, but I do know she is qualified and had the job a long time) I don’t remember all the details, but I think he’s some sort of plumbing and heating installer. He is not a doctor or medical professional of any kind. Yes Ottawa County you are being royally screwed. I hope you vote these jokers out as soon as you can. ---

It kind of sounds like they thought that their insurance policy would cover the $4 million payout. That would be a big oops, but not unexpected from what sounds like a group of idiots. ---

Well, hopefully it stands up to scrutiny and they’re forced to pay it out. Then she can, if she wants, get a job in a different city and with any luck the board members get voted out or fired or recalled. If it goes through, I wonder if whoever made the deal with her can be held liable for covering the payment. In any case, we can only hope that whether they’re elected or appointed, whoever put them in power realized how stupid of an idea that was and they’re removed as soon as possible. ---
