Okay, hear me out. I wonder if this is the kind of thing (should it gain traction and further corroboration) that would finally start to shake some of his support. I’m serious. So many of his cult deny accusations that he’s racist, that he’s hateful, he’s a serial sexual predator, etc. In reality, they don’t really care that such things are true. But what if their strong, strong leader is labeled thusly? “Ha ha! Your guy stinks and shits his pants!” Putting children in cages, the Muslim ban, calling neo-Nazis “fine people”—none of that stuff bothered them, because frankly it seemed admirable. But when someone is all image, no substance, what happens when he smells and needs diapers? Again, I’m serious. Such is the nature of his support, in my view. They can put up with almost anything, but this…? I realize this probably just blows over (thankfully, if you’re downwind), but I’m of the belief that if there’s something that finally puts a dent in his support, it will be something really bizarre. ---

You’re probably right. I still think that all the stuff that would normally sink a political career—bigotry, attacking war heroes, mocking the disabled—doesn’t work on the MAGA tribe because they see these acts as virtues. But something objectively humiliating? Not so sure… “Hey, has your stinky hero shit his pants yet today? Just checking.” “Shut up!” ---

They will never hear about it, or if they do, will dismiss it. Rupert and/or Lachlan Murdoch certainly won’t let that news appear on Fox News. It is not clear whether Fox (this is the entertainment arm, not the lie-and-incite division) objected to the idea in general or the misuse of “hung”. ---
