I wonder if he’s worried about a potential judgment against him. Florida has a “Homestead rule” that makes it hard for people who win a judgment against a resident to collect it against that person’s house. It’s one of the reasons O.J. Simpson moved to the state after the civil suit. ---

Damn liberals (probably woke as well), thinking that however well or poorly lifeboats are loaded, there should be enough room for everyone. And to make matters worse, the extra lifeboats cut into boat deck promenade space for the first-class passengers who contributed handsomely to the line’s profits. Never mind that White Star, like all the similar lines of the time, made most of their money from third-class passengers. ---
