Saw a news story this morning. Trump not calling off his event in -17 weather. Mopes lining up, there being buses running with heaters for said mopes so they can get take shifts getting warm. Shivering Newscaster talking about how long you have before frostbite… One of the mopes getting into a bus…was wearing shorts. ---

A lot of people here in MI wear shorts all year long no matter the temperature or how deep the snow. I don’t get it myself. ---

And there is no weather conditions that will stop teenage girls from wearing short skirts. The sensible ones will sometimes wear leggings under them, but I’ve seen plenty of bare legs even in the depths of winter. ---

I noticed that our postman was still wearing his shorts yesterday, in single-digit temps with wind chills approaching 25 below. According to discussion on Facebook, there’s a contest among the local letter carriers to see who can wear shorts the longest. ---
