I assume it’s a stock photo chosen by someone who doesn’t know southern CA very well. As an aside, when I found myself in the hospital in Chicago a few months ago I found myself having to tell the doctors and nurses I was from “near Seattle” because they had no idea where Olympia was. ---

IME most Trump enthusiasts are very forward about wearing their “colors” and signs and such. So I’m kinda surprised these groups didn’t recognize one another since they’d mostly be wearing the same “uniforms”. Unless one group was trying to be more discreet, the better to fool the opposition. But “discreet” and “Trump enthusiast” is a very narrow sliver of the Venn diagram. Hmm. As to the stock photo from Torrance … Used to be Irvine PD cars were all-white with a very sissy logo & slogan. So at first I thought the news media wanted a generic black-and-white and came up with Torrance more or less at random. A quick visit to the Irvine PD website tells me they now have black-and-whites. In a humorous aside, right now (Sun at 0630 Irvine time) Google search informs me the Irvine PD is closed. They re-open on Mon at 7:30am. So if anyone here is in or near Irvine and fancies a quick smash-and-grab or a mugging or whatever, now’s the time. 25 hours from now when they first respond your trail will be nice and cold. 😉 ---

For a while, a town near where I live used Range Rovers as cop cars. Do you really want to advertise that you are wasting money? Maybe they got one hell of a deal, I don’t know. They now use your basic whatever Black and White. With some Ford Explorers in the mix. It’s about 50/50. ---

And when talking about Wyoming, just give the general quarter of the state you are talking about… or maybe “near Yellowstone” 😛 (In my case, more “near Devil’s Tower”, but that’s more likely to draw a blank look than just “northeast Wyoming”) ---
