Unfortunately, that seems to come in the form of targeting those who are trans or gay, or banning books from schools and libraries. Yet here they have motivated someone to leave whose absence might ACTUALLY harm children. And I imply no responsibility for this on the doctor - I think he’s quite right to head elsewhere. If these assholes really cared about children they would push for universal free school lunch and access to health care. Instead they focus their idiocy on LGBTQ people and it’s quite possible Louisiana will suffer for it. ---

I just have to say, if I was a kid and some doc fixed something in _my_ heart making me feel loads better, I’d be mighty fond of him or her. I read a memoir some years ago by a pediatric heart surgeon and he said by far, his favorite procedure was an atrial septal defect repair because the results were so dramatic. A kid goes in listless, gasping, possibly edema from the chest on down, and wakes up much pinker, full of life and, despite the stitched-up incisions, downright chipper. ---

Heck, Why stop there. Decertify Obama, Clinton, Carter. Put Nixon’s head in a jar on the desk in the oval office. Since it’s so easy, pull the plug on Johnson; does away with that Social Security/Medicare boondoggle. Eisenhower was kind of RINO, maybe boot him and Truman. DEWEY WINS!!! I hope no one tells Marge, she’ll be all over this like trash on burn pit. ---
