I know it’s HuffPost, but this kind of burbling from McCarthy is just so dumb. It’s not even the “clever” BS that we’ve heard from other Republicans. Voting against the Ukraine bill is stupid for many reasons. Not only will it help them, it will also help the USA. Josh Hawley was whining about “Another $60 billion for _Ukraine_ . Not a penny for _Missouri_ .” on X. And is getting dragged because quite a lot of that money is indeed going to Missouri (mostly to Boeing, I believe). This is from November 2023, but it shows Missouri had received nearly $700m in funding to pay for ammunition, equipment etc made in the state.
