There’s no chance Carson loses the election, even if his opponent were alive. That district has been solidly Democratic since the mid-1970s, at least. Before Andre Carson, the seat was held by his grandmother Julia for 20 years, and another Democrat before that. But Andre Carson is one of the few Muslims in the House, so “better dead than Muslim” is probably a thing. ---
