I realize it is a tiny town but isn’t there a town charter or some other document formalizing how the town council is to be run under the law? I’m not surprised a bunch of racists would ignore the law to do something like this but I am surprised they would get away with it for so long. ---

Obviously someone did or this lawsuit wouldn’t have been filed. What I’m asking is about a town charter establishing how elections were to be held. Clearly no one here has that info so I’ll just drop it. ---

A charter isn’t worth much if the people in power decide they can ignore it and are willing to use their police and other power to punish anyone who tries to buck the system. Especially if most of the folks living there don’t care or don’t want to stir up trouble for themselves. ---
