The point is to show the Democratic bleeding hearts in the cities that the True Americans in the rural areas will dictate the rules. After all, if we don’t need a law in order for Billy Mac to get a break when he’s helping Wilmer with his barn raising, why does there need to be a law for the anonymous crew putting up the office building for Stock Price Is Everything, Inc.? Basically it’s a fuck you after the political and legal battles over the covid rules. ---

[channelling DeSantis] Hey, look at the bright side! It’s mostly all those brown invaders doing that work in the blazing sun. So what if they keel over? Drag the bodies away and shuffle in some more brown invaders, get the labor out of them, repeat, repeat – cheap labor and a bonus, getting the brown invader numbers down!
