There is a certain ouroborean symmetry to that. It seems somewhat unlikely at this point that the Rs could legitimately win the WH. But they might capture it through shennanigans and subterfuge (things that they have not shown much talent for). If they did, then Ms Harris’ “black” job would be taken over by an illegal (one who does not have the legal right to it). ---

It’s not just me is it?” It’s hard to put into words but I think it’s a real thing. This is the kind of messaging Democrats have been missing for a while now. I’ve seen it expressed a couple of times, both here and elsewhere, that attacking Trump and his supporters directly doesn’t work. But ridiculing them does. I think there’s a kernel of truth to this and I also think that that’s kind of what we’re seeing play out right now. Something about this messaging is definitely getting under maga skin. ---

How about a Bronx cheer? Because that’s what I gave a group of about a dozen Christofascists in suits who were waving banners during the morning rush on the Adams St. bridge leading from Chicago Union Station. Their banners and **loud** chants were about “protecting children from the LGBTQ agenda in libraries” (they may have used something stronger than “agenda”). Most people were completely ignoring them\* but I felt they needed a warm welcome to Chicago of nice ripe raspberries. \*Which is as much a late rush hour “nobody’s gonna break my stride” thing as a “don’t feed the trolls” thing. 🙂 ---
