It’s a Justice League picture with the heads of Trump and assorted cronies photoshopped on and the words “Trump 2024” at the bottom. Trump is Superman, Vance is Batman (looking very fat due to bad photoshopping, I might add), Elon Musk is Cyborg, RFK Jr is Aquaman, Vivek Ramaswamy is Flash and Nikki Haley is Wonder Woman. A reminder that this was posted by a grown man who wants to be president. Again. ---

Well, there’s Biden standing, and Obama in the La-Z-Boy, and Trump tied up, and I think that’s Harris by Biden’s butt, or maybe she’s on Trump’s right, reading the paper over somebody’s shoulder. McNaughton always includes a key to the people in his pictures on his web page, but I’m not about to include that here. ---

I’ve seen a non-superhero version of this, and it confuses me. You’ve got to include the candidates, so Trump and Vance. It’s possible to make arguments for Elon, Vivek and RFK Jr, even if personally I think only Vivek, smarmy bastard that he is, is the only one who might possibly contribute something useful to a Trump administration. But in what universe is Tulsi Gabbard a ‘get’? Lil Bobby potentially pulls some nostalgia votes, Vivek is smart and a “we’re not racist” fig-leaf, Elon has money and a IMO massively overblown business rep (and is certainly a better businessman than Trump, but I probably am also), but Tulsi was a bit of a rising Democratic star who went whackadoodle a long time ago. ---

I think that’s Michelle Obama behind Biden (and next to Barack, who is ironically surrounded by boxes of top secret documents). The black woman reading the paper (with the headline “What is a woman?”, which the right persist in thinking is the supreme ‘gotcha’) is Ketanji Brown Jackson. Trump is surrounded by Letitia James, Fani Willis, Jack Smith, Judge Engeron, Alvin Bragg, and I’m not sure who’s just behind Bragg. I don’t actually see Harris in the picture, although there’s a lot of people in there (including King Charles). My favorite detail is Major chewing on a Secret Service agent, just next to the Obamas. McNaughton is an exceptional artist - even in closeup most people in the picture are immediately recognizable. It’s a pity about his usual choice of subjects. ---

God damn It, I would love it if someone would paint a portrait of Jon MacNaughton standing in front of a huge scroll endorsing all of the vile shit the America-hating fuckstick espouses.
