My guess is they did not expect Trump to say the crazy shit out loud to a general audience. So they’re leaning into: “It was a joke! Ya, that’s the ticket! A funny joke! Trump is such a jokester, and so we’re going along with the joke! Ya, that’s it!” ---

On my idiot congressman’s FB page, one of his MAGAnut followers posted an image of trump running, holding two adworable kittens, while being chased by two “really black” male teenagers. (It’s unintentionally hilarious, and offensive at the same time). I guess they think their Lord and Savior trump is saving the poor kitties from being eaten, but I see it as meanie trump stealing the kids’ pets. eta: found it!
