There’s also the hypocrisy. Most of that base has been able to get abortions for themselves or loved ones by traveling to a neighboring state (somehow, it’s always _different_ when it’s personal) but denounce that sort of thing in others. How many GOP congresscritters have been caught getting or encouraging abortions now? They firmly believe in the platitude that it’s better to seek forgiveness than permission ---

I wonder if Trump has paid for any abortions. Imagine if Stormy Daniels or Karen Mcdougal had gotten pregnant by the Orange Monster; the payoff would have been enormous. ---

So they don’t need to worry about that part. The problem is, since the 1970s, females have been allowed to own real property and open bank accounts and do other man stuff. If they can be self-sufficient, and the divorce laws become more restictive, it might be harder to rope them into proper male-dominated marriages. Of course, if we go back to stamping “Illegitimate” on the BCs of children born out of wedlock and insure that they cannot receive SNAP or AFDC or maternity leave, that would help minimize that difficulty. ---

It doesn’t look like that resolution covers just fraud in West Virginia. It’s saying they’ll refuse to recognize the election if there are illegal or fraudulent acts anywhere. I imagine the determination of whether illegal or fraudulent acts happened will be up to the West Virginian House. ---

To the best of my understanding, resolutions are effectively an “open letter” and don’t have the force of law. It’s like putting out a full page ad in a newspaper. It doesn’t legally empower anyone to do anything. So it’s not like this will actually **do** anything but make the state look dumb. ---
