I live in PA so am getting inundated with ads. One of which hits at Harris for advocating for prison inmates getting gender reassignment surgery. I looked for the ad online, but couldn’t find anything I could link. They end with something like, “Kamala is for they/them. Not for you.” I don’t think they even understand how offensive that sentence is. Rather, they think that a pithy line that will grab people. It infuriates me every time I see it. I could have an argument whether we should be giving prisoners gender reassignment surgery and I can imagine arguments for and against. But that last line just denigrates all transgender people and is absolutely offensive. ---

The implication being it was done solely to get moved to women’s prison, though it’s not stated. This is juxtaposed with Harris taking credit for getting transgender people care, including surgery. It’s definitely targeted to offend. I’m sure they know how offensive that sentence is. It’s targeted at all the folks who hear “they/ them” and disparage the pronoun use. ---

Prisoners should be tossed in a dark box to starve to death, though maybe the white ones get to be on a chain gang and worked to death.
