I was listening to a Trump representative on the BBC this morning handwaving away all of his recent craziness - the dancing, the discussion of Palmer’s penis, etc - as just “Trump being Trump”. Which I suppose is true - it **is** Trump being Trump. _That’s entirely the problem._ ---

LegalEagle just released a video that I think is well worth watching. It’s a good recap of all the shit Trump has done in the last 8ish years and the things that are important to remember going into the election. Trump has shoveled such an incredible amount of bullshit our way, it good to focus on the bigger things that can get lost in the shuffle. Thanks for the link. I’m also descended from John Gallop and Hannah Lake, the ancestors in common between the Bush and Hinkley families. There’s a family website listing famous Gallop descendants but, for some reason, they don’t feature Hinkley. Interesting to learn. ---

Looks like this kid fell for Trump’s line about “Kamala has legalized theft under $950” and didn’t realize that; 1. Theft under that amount isn’t legal, that’s just the threshold that differentiates a felony from a misdemeanor, and misdemeanors can still be punished with jail time 2. That law only applies in California 3. The threshold is actually lower in Missouri, at $750, so this is definitely a felony Trump, of course, isn’t going to shed a single tear that someone else paid the consequences for believing his bullshit. Will the kid learn anything? Maybe, but my gut tells me he’ll come.out of this believing that if he were an “illegal” they’d have let him off the hook. ---
