What annoyed me was, they didn’t explain the eclipse part! Self driving cars I can understand, they figure it’s woke leftists hating the American Dream of driving real fast. But how are eclipses a leftist plot?!??!!? ---

So how’s RFK gonna tax a product that’s federally illegal? At the state level, where cannabis is legal to some degree in most places, there are a lot of taxes and fees levied by state governments. But federally it is still Schedule I, meaning (among other things) banks generally can’t operate with cannabis businesses and there’s no selling products across state lines. So how, exactly, does he plan to tax it? Let’s try taxing underground sales of cocaine and meth first and see how that works out. I am sure both sellers and buyers will be happy to cooperate (sarcasm). ---

The National Science Foundation was mandated by Congress in the 90’s to include in all grant application assessments how those projects reach out to underincluded demographics. DEI in a nutshell. The eclipse research grant was to link up students not in the path of totality with those in totality to provide a joint experience. Nothing there at all about marxism or about “white males suck”. A lot of other noted grants on Cruz’s list use methodology of people going out to their local community to gather information. Others use an element of involving groups who historically have had low science participation to perform some of the data collection and observation, encouraging them to see themselves as being capable of being scientists. That’s where Cruz is getting his anti-DEI connection. His Marxist social agenda item is the figment of the imagination of a Cuban refugee and self-aggrandizing putz aspiring to be the biggest asshole in the world. Our at least Texas, same thing. ---
