The issue (to me) is not whether trump remembers. As you say he will not. The issue is whether the public will fondly remember this “pardon” as another instance of “dictator trump triumphs over the corrupt legal process” and also fondly see this as further proof of the stolen election narrative. I think a hefty fraction do/will believe that. And believe that RW dictatorship is the best way to run things. That’s the danger. Idjit trump will sell them the sizzle of RW dictatorship and white cishet Xian grievance. Then his competent non-feeble successor will deliver that dictatorial RW destruction upon all of us. For decades. ---
