This has already been attempted, in a book called _[Silent Coup](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silent_Coup)_, which contend that the Watergate break-in was orchestrated by John Dean, and that Alexander Haig was conspiring with national security personnel to undermine the Nixon presidency. According to this book, Haig was “Deep Throat.” Swing and a miss. ---
