Trump is a common thief who lied and conned his way into the White house. No more no less. Him stealing the soccer trophy, while outrageous, is in no way shape or form surprising. It’s perfectly fits his worldview. Pure unfiltered malignant narcissism. It’s like politically justified kleptomania. Trump sees himself as the center of the universe. Therefore all good things must be due to him. The fact that the soccer team was even there, or the representatives of FIFA who built the structure which the team competed under, matters not one bit. The trophy was specifically put in front of him because he thinks it was there to glorify him. It’s not something he could earn, buy, or lie his way into. That gives it value to him I guess. And yes, this incident is Putin stealing a super bowl ring all over again. ---
