Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, hamsters and hedgehogs, I introduce to you the cast of “Survivor: Gabon,” premiering Thursday September 18th in full-color HDTV, which means … _extra-sensuous monkey footage_. Yippee! Oh, and also these people: [Ace](http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor/bio/ace_17/bio.php?season=17), [Bob](http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor/bio/bob_17/bio.php?season=17), [Charlie](http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor/bio/charlie_17/bio.php?season=17), [Corinne](http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor/bio/corinne_17/bio.php?season=17), [Crystal](http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor/bio/crystal_17/bio.php?season=17), [Dan](http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor/bio/dan_17/bio.php?season=17), [Danny](http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor/bio/danny_17/bio.php?season=17), [Gillian](http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor/bio/gillian_17/bio.php?season=17), [Jacque](http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor/bio/jacque_17/bio.php?season=17), [Jessica](http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor/bio/jessica_17/bio.php?season=17), [Kelly](http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor/bio/kelly_17/bio.php?season=17), [Ken](http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor/bio/ken_17/bio.php?season=17), [Marcus](http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor/bio/marcus_17/bio.php?season=17), [Matty](http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor/bio/matty_17/bio.php?season=17), [Michelle](http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor/bio/michelle_17/bio.php?season=17), [Paloma](http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor/bio/paloma_17/bio.php?season=17), [Randy](http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor/bio/randy_17/bio.php?season=17), and [Susie](http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor/bio/susie_17/bio.php?season=17). No editorial comments from me except Bob looks _almost exactly_ like one of the Physics teachers at my high school, but with a different haircut, and I had _no idea_ that “pin-up model” was an actual occupation. ---

Randy sounds awesome. His bio starts: > [@](#): > > Randy Bailey wants to be personally responsible for crushing the hopes and dreams of all other contestants with delusions of winning SURVIVOR. and just gets better from there. ---

Hmmmmm…no knockouts to root for this time. Let me consult my “What to Look For In A Survivor” list… 1. Boobs 2. Attitude 3. Deviousness Randy just may be my boy this season. Odds are he’s out inside show #5. ---

Check out this from Ace’s bio: “His privileged background and world travels lead Gordon to mockingly state, ‘I’m probably better than you and highly more [sic] educated.’” Gah, reading the rest of his bio I hate him already. This might be a good season. ---

I have learned that a friend met Gillian while boating in Belize. I’ll be starting my rooting interests by cheering for her. That’s as close to knowing somebody on a reality show that I have been. Any show, now that I think about it.
