# New Themes in Gmail?

So I was just checking my email when \< wamp \> all of a sudden, there was a difference in the screen! Apparently they’ve just now instituted “themes” for your setting in there (much like if you have iGoogle set as your homepage and the thing that it does to the header). So far, it looks like there’s lots of different color combinations and some previous stuff that we’ve seen before (IE: Tea House, etc.). Neato.
It looks really cool. You guys should check it out!

I was mad that they forced the theme change initially. I thought something was wrong, and refreshed a few times to fix it!

No difference here–not in the new view (which I don’t use because my Gmail Skins add on isn’t supported) nor in the old view which is what I use all the time because Gmail won’t let me have my nice green theme. Huh. Anybody have a screen shot of what the new stuff looks like?

The change came sudden for me as well – and I also did some refreshing – but now, I’ve chosen the “Mountains” theme. Looks very cool. 🆒

W00t! Just got mine changed today, I went with “Phantasea,” which is reeeeall purty… My geekass SO is peeing himself over “Terminal,” he LOVES the ASCII “Gmail” logo.
Yay, now I can upgrade to Firefox 3! Life is good… 😃

I’m using that Phantasea theme. I might switch to the ninja theme soon, though. It’s just a little too busy for my tastes.

Whoa, this theme changes with the weather based on your location? Is that what you’re saying? I just changed mine to this theme and it’s, um, snowing outside.. and snowing on the theme!
