Evening all. Pedaled off at the gym about 4 of the doughnuts I ate this morning, so after that and some soccer coaching training (an hour’s worth in 96F heat), I decided to head over to the next town that has a Golden Corral, and had a dinner…soup and salad to start, rice and pot roast for the main course, and pecan pie to finish it along with several refills for my Coke, all for less than $20. I do wish the GC that was close to me and shut down during the COVID times would reopen. But then I’d have to exercise even more… **Wheelie** , hope you had a good day train driving. And a most happy Orbit Completion Day! **Taters** , not sure was stunl means, but hope they get things worked out for you. Stunl means stunk. The room reeked of cigarettes and some other funky odor. I am in a different room for the night, but still don’t have complete resolution. They are waiting for a manager to get in now. 🙄 ---

I really like them because too much soy doesn’t agree with me and this protein is milk based. Not too many flavors at Costco and the price is great for 30 gram protein shakes. Very smooth, none of that slimey, gloppy goop. I haven’t completed my To Do list for today. (When I do, it’s my Tah-dah list.) I got tired out between the gym and running errands, so I’m taking a break. I normally take Sunday off from working out and just walk a couple miles, but I won’t be able to get as much exercise in Chicago, and my family is always shoving food and alcohol at me (which is one reason you’d like them), so I’m suffering while I can. 🙂 Both kids called, so my Sunday is complete. I think my daughter is going to start looking for another job. She’s been there for several years and loves the people she works with, but the pay isn’t great, and she’s outgrown the job. I don’t know if she’ll look for another job as a reporter or go into something else. Stay tuned! **shoe** , job hunting sucks. It’s never made sense to me that looking for a job requires completely different skills than the jobs you’re applying for. You’re a catch, though, so don’t get discouraged. Heaven knows you deserve smooth sailing. **MetalMouse** , I think meetings outdoors when it’s that hot constitute cruel and unusual punishment. Glad you rewarded yourself with a good dinner. The closest GC to where I lived in Wyoming was 2 hours away. It closed for good some years ago. I took my daughter there once because she’d always wanted to try it. It was cheap, and she loved it. So what’s the next step? Tummy troubles can be pretty miserable. She sure doesn’t deserve that. Plus she should be able to enjoy your wonderful cooking! ---

I wanted to be Grandma when I grew up, she had red hair (Mom said it came from a bottle, but you just can’t buy that sort of reditude) and scooted around in a red bug and was glamorous and everyone loved her. Mom had warmed us up by taking us to watch the circus train come to town but she had a new baby and couldn’t come with us. It was a great time. When we got back to her bug, the bonnet was smooshed in and there was a note on her windshield saying that she shouldn’t have parked there because that was where they walked the red stool sitting elephants while lining them up to go inside and sit on red stools. When we got home, Grandma begged us to not say anything about her bug until she had a chance, but toddlers…we ran right inside yelling for Mom that we were home and that Grandma’s bug got elephant smooshed. They got into a short argument because Mom thought Grandma had had an accident with us in the bug and was lying about it because Grandma did tend to drive a little fast and loose.
