I haven’t been here for weeks because I got so fed up with all threads showing as ‘read’ within seconds of opening up the board. Imagine my amazement that the board thinks I was here only four days ago. I fully expect to be zapped when I try to go to another of the boards ---

Student interactions with the discussion board create a permanent record of participation, yet you also need to have reasonable expectations about what can be accomplished in an online discussion. ---

Here’s something odd. I was told by someone yesterday that whenever he gets an e-mail from me, it says it’s from “Sam Siam.” I said, “Huh. Imagine that.” He thinks the problem is on his end, and I’m not going to clue him otherwise. But is my Board name leaking out? And this is on an e-mail account that is different from the one I have listed with the Board. ---

Well, now the frequency seems to have upped drastically this past week after a long stretch of doing okay. Internal Server Errors are up too, and the website is moving slowly again, as if someone poured molasses into it. Just this website. Has something new happened? It was doing so well for a while. ---

It’s starting to deteriorate again. Zappings are more frequent. And that odd bit about a handful of threads being zapped or marked Read scattered among all the Unread ones.
