# New Threads - Don't Show Correctly

I quickly learned new threads that I haven’t read are in bright blue. Threads I’ve read are in a duller blue.

But, if I close Firefox. Then, go back to Straight Dope all the threads are bright blue. I have to remember what I’ve already read.

FAIK I’m accepting your cookie. I don’t have to log in.

Shouldn’t the board remember what I’ve read? Or is this an issue with my browser?

Going to have to defer to Xash on this one, he’s our browser expert.

And the ways of Firefox are myriad strange sometimes, so I can’t even speculate on what’s going on here.

Under Firefox\>Tools\>Options\>Privacy-there is an option to clear the history when closing Firefox, uncheck it.

Browser issue. I use Firefox, too. You have the “History” set too short. Tools \> Options \> Privacy. History setting is at the top of that menu. If that doesn’t work, get back to me and I will try something else.

I have found that when I switch between wifi adapters, the same thing happens, but it only happens on this board. All other vBulletin boards keep the history even if I switch between Charter and Verizon as my ISP **AND** also switch my adapter.
