what do you all think about [dirty money](http://dsc.discovery.com/videos/dirty-money-full-steam-ahead-videos/)? i like it, but these guys dont care much for antiques. i mean, on all these other shows, they talk about how important it is to keep things original to preserve their value, and these guys take brillo pads and sandpaper and clean up things, then clear coat them lol. i was glad that one guy told them off regarding what they did to the gramophone, it’s a travesty really. anyway, i _do_ like it but its pretty weird… ---

I haven’t seen it or heard of it until now. I’m probably not alone since I doubt that anyone cares about your user title. ---

OK. I watched the clip in the link. Actually, I watched about six minutes of it. It looks like a clone of Pawn Stars or that show where they bid on storage lockers. I don’t like those types of shows and this one is a bad version of one of them. Why don’t I like them? They all manage to take about two minutes of fairly useful and entertaining information and stretch it out into half an hour and the characterizations of the people are very obviously contrived. ---

so Miss Congeniality was on a couple nights ago, and who is playing her partner that gets shot? [john diresta](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0228180/), one of this show’s stars. just found it interesting that they don’t mention that he’s a working actor, and a former NYC transit cop, on the show
