Seriously, though, the Tea Partiers and suchlike have been banging the “Socialist Obama” drum for four years now. Is this a sign we’re in for even **more and louder** of that crap for the next six months?! ---

Well, that is exactly what I would call the process of fossil-fuel formation – geological, not biological – not even bacteria are involved in it. But, the stuff definitely is not **abiogenic;** the Earth needs once-living dead things as feedstock to begin the process. ---
