As soon as you see the boat, just ride straight into and through the inn, race down the dock, and you can get onto the boat just as it’s pulling in. If you’re a DK (and maybe a Shaman, I don’t know if they get to Water Walk mounted) you can also run straight across from Darkshore to Ruth’whatever Village.
