First I released snakes to get rid of the rats. Then I got a new roommate named Patrick to get rid of the snakes. Now I’m trying to get rid of Patrick. He snores at night. ---

A few years ago I found a shed snakeskin in our basement. I set our catch and release mousetraps, checked them daily, and caught 3 or 4 mice. I never saw the snake, but assume he left once there was no food supply. I never mentioned the snakeskin to my gf until months later. ---

Another anxiety nightmare. This time I dreamed the dean of my graduate school department was threatening to fire me (from my completely unrelated job) if I didn’t produce proof that I had COVID. The thing I hated is that when I first woke up, it took me longer than necessary to realize the letter from him wasn’t real. He’s dead. I don’t know what the fuck my subconscious is trying to work out, but I’m otherwise in a fine mood. ---

I also had a Covid-related nightmare. I was actually napping an hour or so ago, which is unusual because I can generally never sleep during the day. I dreamt I was at a fancy restaurant with some well-to-do people I used to work for. The food came and all of it was miserable and tasteless and I had to apologize to everyone for recommending the place. Then I woke up and realized it was all triggered by my loss of taste and smell from Covid. And Frasier Crane was one of the guests. He was mad at me because his meal was so sub-par. ---
