# New Year's Eve: What are you Drinking?

Will you be getting drunk tonight? How much will you drink? What is your drink preference?
My answers: Yes. A lot. I drink beer and vodka mostly, but I’m hoping for something different tonight. Any suggestions? Does it go well with a certain kind of food?

I don’t think I’ll be getting drunk (unfortunately! hee hee), but if I know my boyfriend, I’ll be drinking wine.
If not I’ll just drink some Coke or something.
My favourite drink is Coke. Alcoholically, I like beer, Tequila Paralysers if I want something sweet, and CAESARS. I love Caesars. I think beer and Caesars go well together, actually. Add some popcorn and you’ve got a party!

I bought a 12 pack of Bud Ice. It was on sale up the street. My boyfriend doesn’t drink, so he will be drinking Dr. Pepper. We’re not going out tonight, too crazy to go into downtown Dallas. I might stop into the local bar up the street.

Me, Budweiser and the Hobbits tonight, once _Jeopardy!_ is over. The crabmeat-stuffed salmon is in the oven, and it’s going to be a fun night. That and listening to the neighborhood “farmers” setting off the fireworks.

I’m drinking some of the orange-flavored smirnoff beverage things because I’m a pansy, and some Beck’s because that’s the only kind of beer I’ve found that I like. It’s also the only one that is available in this part of the US that isn’t something like Coors light or Busch light that I’ve ever tried. 😛
I’ve been informed that there’s going to be extra liquor where I’m going, but I’m not quite sure of quantity or type.

Coffee. But that’s because it’s 11:20am 01/01/05 here (Happy New Year, everyone).
Okay, that’s cheating. NYE? Last night, I had, I think, two beers around 6 - 7pm (Stella Artois - which I used to love, but seem to have gone off). Then a glass of water around 10pm, and in bed and asleep at 11pm.

2 glasses of wine and then it’s Ginger Ale for me. Actually, one glass of wine early and one glass at midnight. (5 months preggers!) I also picked up some Knudsen’s non-alcoholic crisp sparkling apple cider, which I’m quite looking forward to.
We’re going out for Thai food and then to a friend’s party. Mental note: must not eat the brownies. 😃
WhyKid’s at grandma’s house, probably enjoying a LOTR marathon.

Lucky you. One of the drawbacks of living close to the harbour is that you can’t even contemplate going to bed until after the fireworks are over and all of the obnoxious yobs have gone home. That doesn’t usually happen until about 2.00am.

My wife is a bartender and she won’t be home until 1:00 am (actually I’ll probably go meet her around 11:00) but I picked up two bottles of cheap champagne (sparkling wine whatever) for the evening’s festivities.
When that’s gone, I’ve got three 5 gallon kegs of homebrew on tap: American Pale Ale (essentially IPA with cascade hops), [“American Red Ale”](http://www.morebeer.com/product.html?product_id=18334), and a Cream Stout.

In the fridge is a six pack of Heineken and a bottle of cheap champagne.
My “friend/partner/SO/what ever his title is,” is bringing some vodka and cranberry juice.
This is our third New Years Eve together. The weather is terrible, so we’re staying in. I’ll might go though the six pack, but I’ll only have one 'symbolic glass" of champagne at midnight. Even the good stuff gives me a headache.

this afternoon I had a beer-“ **Spotted Cow Ale** ” from New Glarus brewery. Now I’m on \*\*Diet Coke \*\*and this is the last one I’ll have. I don’t drink much anymore.
Of course tomorrow my team is in a bowl game, and I don’t have cable so i’ll have to go to a bar to watch it-at 10:00am…we’ll see what happens then.

Light-weights. The bf and I have already polished off 1 bottle of Terra Australis shiraz from Trader Joe’s, and we have 2 bottles of champagne we’ve started on tonight.
