Countdown to the Dopefest … It seems that we have the following attendees: Attending: Manhattan, Magdalene + The Mysterious Boy, Capn’Crude, Sua, OxyMoron, cmkeller, zev, Geobabe, Biggirl, Lux Fiat, GilaB, choosybeggar, vix, friedo, NotWithoutRage, Cajun Man, Dr. Matrix, and Gadarene. (total: 20 people) Maybe: Grok, lurkernomore, TruePisces, Maeglin, various members of the Biggirl household. Should someone phone the restaurant to confirm our increased number of attendees? ---

It’s happened that I won’t be able to make the 'fest. Tragedy of this sort is usually only sung of by particularly morbid bards in the courts of royal families who have, over generations, had bred into them a razor-keen sense of _schadenfreude_. Alas, now such tragedy is mine. **Sua** , I’m going to have to ask you to be lewd at **magdalene** and **Geobabe** for me. None of your backtalk! Just grit your teeth and do it, soldier. ---

I haven’t been following this thread because I won’t be able to make it (Thursday Dopefests don’t sit well with me, especially since I have to get up and go to work the next morning). **Grrrr** I’m especially bummed at missing this because I’ve always wanted to meet **Zev** and **Chaim** IRL. I like and respect them both very much and wanted to be able to break bread with them. Maybe another day. I’ll also miss seeing **Ike, Biggirl, Dr. Matrix, Cajun Man** and so many other NYC Dopers. Oh well. Raise a glass of Mogen Dave-Guy in my absence, willya? ---

Well, I just wanted to say that it was a pleasure attending. It was great to finally attach faces to some of the screen names that I often see here. Hi, all. I am Pixellent, or The Artist Formerly Known As The Mysterious Boy. I just want to thank everyone for giving Magdalene a rousing welcome, and thanks also for putting up with the lurker newbie just because he also happens to be Mag’s Squeeze. In honor of your forebearance, I will attempt in future to be a much more active presence in these forums. You can decide for yourself whether or not it’s something you’ll be grateful for. I would also like to express personal gratitude to my lovely Mag, and the equally lovely Biggirl and Vix, for performing an on-the-bar bootyshake at Red Rock West that made COYOTE UGLY look like a dinner theatre production of STATE FAIR. And for those of you who wimped out and missed it, I believe a “neener neener neener” is in order. ---
