I’ll be in the City from July 3-9, does anyone want to meet for drinks? My schedule is pretty flexible. July 5th would work, or any day on the weekend. I believe that I am the NY Doper in charge of alcoholism. As it happens, **Sue Dunhym** will also be in town at that time, through the 8th. So tell us what you want to do. If you’re thinking bars and general debauchery, I’m your guy (heh). If you want to do the whole dinner thing, we may want to get some input from a civilized person. That weekend is the Yankees/Mets series, so going to a ball game is right out. But the city will be pretty empty, so anything else you want to do (museums, etc.) should be OK. ---

I was already in for seeing Sue (makes it sound like a criminal sentence in Saudi Arabia, but I digress), so this is a sorta double-your-pleasure type thing. Which I suppose would get me in even _worse_ trouble. I don’t suppose we could get **Eve** to join us, could we? ---

I think **Pucette’s** on to something, because if memory serves, **Billdo** has already instructed the New Yorkers to hold Thursday, July 5, as a drinking night, since **Sue** will be in town. Frankly, this is the best social situation I’ve ever had. **Billdo** informs me of where and when to show up, and I show up, and drinks are being served. It’s a wonderful world. Everyone should be so lucky. ---

For the record: I have no objections to letting this Dopefest turn into a Gropefest. **As Long as \* I \* am there.** Gotta get our priorities straight. Though in the preview, I saw that Eve may well not attend. Sorta ruins the sentiment – she’s kinda cute. 🙂 ---

Hooray! **Manhattan** , I am in your capable hands. I know NYC pretty well, and don’t need a guide to musuems, etc. A trip to Ellis Island is on the agenda for the visit, since I’ve never been. I can be as civilized or uncivilized as the occasion permits, and I am also very excited to meet **Sue Duhnym**! I’m sorry you won’t be able to attend, **Miss Otis**. I mean, Golden. Nah, I don’t believe in bringing nonDoping friends to a Dopefest…part of the “hospitality” thing. There we’ll all be, with our thumbs in our beers, and someone will shout out “Satan’s Ass!” or “Scylla’s Armchair!” or “Coldfire on a Motorcycle!” and we’ll all collapse in a fit of the giggles, except for the one poor schtump who has no idea what’s goin’ on. ---
