# "New" Zingers?

The other day, I needed a quick sugar rush, so I bought a pack of Hostess[sup]tm[/sup] Zingers (vanilla flavored). After I opened them, I noticed that the wrapper annouced in the upper left corner “NEW” in one of those brightly-colored multi-point stars.

What the heck is new about Zingers? I ate a pack for lunch every day through junior high and high school. I think after 20-25 years, they no longer would have the claim that they’re new, even if they’d been introduced when I started 7[sup]th[/sup] grade.
