Because it’s such a huge event in my life, I’m making my 100th post this threadstarter…Congratulate me, galdurnit, you heathens! 😃 So when do you stop being a newbie? 100? 500? 5000?? I suppose it’s when you start being recognized and stop posting the absolute dumbest questions. (Like this one). :rolleyes: ---

“newbie” is a relative term. I’m still a newbie, and it will be a long time before I consider myself an old timer, but as time goes by you slowly start to feel more part of the SDMB community. I guess the less worried you are about shaking the newbie status, the less of a newbie you become. Just relax, enjoy the boards and don’t let it stress you. ---

I considered myself beyong newbie status when other Dopers started contacting me through e-mail, IM, or my journal. That’s just me, though.
