You put a blinking smiley carnac, all is forgiven
I dunno about that. I don’t think it’ll be remembered in 2 years, much less 20.

When Jackie Chan dies people will look back on his work and Police Story, Wheels on Meals, Drunken Master II, and Miracles will be “rediscovered” masterpecies. It seems that some of the best artists have to die before people accept their work.
I think 1997’s **Un Hero Tres Discret ** (A Self-Made Hero) is a tremendously good film. My pick for enduring cult comedy is the wonderful Living in Oblivion.
What’s wrong with A Bug’s Life?
My vote is for The Princess Bride. It can’t be dated. It’s a family movie that adults enjoy more than the kids. It has a high ‘cult’ factor. It’s funny, exciting, touching, and has one of the best swordfights put on film.
I think people will still be watching The Princess Bride 100 years from now, when most of the other movies mentioned (great though some are) look like total anachronisms.
In that same category, for the same reasons - Beauty and the Beast.
Whale Rider is a beautifully done film and all of the performances are great, especially Keisha Castle-Hughes. Timeless story; excellent cinematography–these things usually signify a movie that stands the test of time. Relevant to any age.
Another James Cameron movie, I think his absolute best: Aliens. I don’t think there is any part of this movie that lags or slows down–it holds your interest the entire time. Perfect performances by every member of the cast, including the aliens! So far it has never looked dated any time I’ve watched it, and I can’t imagine it ever really looking dated, really. Unfortunately, Terminator has begun to look cheesy.
