Newly discovered comet could outshine the moon in 2013

I think Halley’s Comet was a bust for me, too, and I did live in the sticks back then. <snip>.

I was only three y.o. for West. I was vacationing in Phoenix during Hale Bopp, and was absolutely thrilled to view an awesome sight in the dark, clear desert rather than the hazy city night lit sky of my home near Detroit.

I was 11 during Haley’s, couldn’t see it, and I was up north in the woods that time. I’ll be 87 next time I get the chance.

Here’s hoping for best. (Both for a new bright comet, and I’ll be around come Haley’s next swing)

Yup, Hale Bop ruled. Was that the one where all the nut cases killed themselves so they could get on the mother headed to it?
