Lost track of a buddy of mine a few years ago and now that he’s resurfaced, I’m amused to discover his occupation. The guy who’d get eight kinds of drunk at my annual summer party and tackle me into the pool is now…

An FBI Special Agent/Bomb Technician.

I’m feeling safer already 😉

Anyone else reconnect with someone to find they’re doing something vastly different than you would have guessed?

Oh my, yes. Back in high school there was a pot-head that I had organic chemistry with. He would spend most of his time during class blowing hash-oil pipes outta pipettes while the rest of us were doing our assigned work. He came to class each and every day _reeking_ of marijuana and sporting a hunting knife on his belt (it had a hand-carved antler handle that doubled as a bong of sorts.)

He’s now a Mennonite minister. You coulda knocked me over with a feather when I heard the news…🙂

There was a cheerleader-type in my high school class who ended up an FBI agent.
