Another pay for content deal concluded:

This is more about revenue sharing than the egalitarian principles of the internet but one wonders, if Facebook were inclined to reflection on how this scenario played out, who thought this was a good idea.

For a tier two economy on a flat iron ore deposit at the arse end of the world and being challenged by the globe’s Big Tobacco, Big Tech, Big Pharma, Coranavirus, PRC etc and having stared all but the last down and still sailing along nicely, we’re having a pretty good run at the moment.
