You know, I don’t think I’ll ever have enough sexual partners to allow me to exaggerate their numbers. Hypothetical situation: I’ve slept with three girls (okay, so now I am exaggerating–I’m a virgin). I can’t exactly say that I’ve slept with four or five because the number’s still small enough that someone could ask me for details about each, details that I couldn’t provide. I’d have to inflate the numbers absurdly and say “eight” or “nine” if I wanted to avoid that, but then it gets into the realm of incredibility.

In (sort of) defense of the 10% that know the answer isn’t accurate…I would be one of those. Not because I would lie about the number of guys I’ve been with but simply because I honestly don’t know the exact number.

Right, and if I’d only had eight or nine partners in my whole life (instead of eight or nine a week whenever I’ve been single) I’d probably fib and say “twelve.”
