Steophan, if you read the post by C K Dexter Haven, the reason we don’t put “news” in any one forum’s description is because news discussions can go in a variety of places depending upon the reason for that thread.
Yes, that makes sense. If there were a news forum, threads would probably need to be moved out of it fairly regularly. Just to clarify, a post along the lines of “This newsworthy event has occurred, i thought you’d like to know about it.” should go in MPSIMS, and will be moved if a debate or ranting breaks out?
Yeah, pretty much. As Dex said above, moving a thread isn’t a big deal. Usually. (life as mod flashes before eyes) My only request was that you provide at least a sentence or two of why the news is of interest to you or why you think it will be of interest to others, and don’t just post a naked link.
