# Newsweek is guilty of the worst journalistic practices I have seen in a LONG time

Despite the fact that the NTSB has just chastised the media for prematurely speculating on the cause of the crash of EgyptAir flight 990, MSNBC ( [http://www.msnbc.com](http://www.msnbc.com) ) and Newsweek ( [http://www.newsweek.com](http://www.newsweek.com) ) nonetheless decided to publish this report based upon “knowledgeble sources.” ( [http://www.msnbc.com/news/337208.asp/](http://www.msnbc.com/news/337208.asp/) ) I am sick and tired of the media publishing wild speculations before any definitive conclusions can be made. I hope that the NTSB does not fail to prove this report wrong and that Newsweek’s irresponsibility will be rubbed in its face.
